Commissioned Queen Anne Bedside Tables
These Bedside tables have been commissioned as part of a complete bedroom suite. Solid Mahogany Queen Anne bedsides solidly made and after 30 years robust and in beautiful structural condition.
Taking into account the earthy wall colours and tones in the curtain, we came up with a concept to lighten the entire suite but add a coloured wax to tone in with the walls, add warmth and soften the finish to avoid it look too stark.
Hand painted in Vintro Nymph Chalk Paint with no sanding or priming using a Staalmeester 20/20 brush we created subtle texture with the paint finish and then detailed with stonebreaker wax, bringing out the texture whilst adding warmth and depth to the finish. The coloured stone breaker wax was then steel wooled back for a subtle aged look, with the handles and edges all finished in Metallic Gold.
A stunning revival for our client of this treasured bedroom suite, revived with the colourway of the bedroom in mind and we know will fit in perfectly back into it's space.
