Commissioned Bedside Tables
A lovely revival for our returning client of her bedside table. Revived to go with another piece we had previously done for her and such a great showcase of how a a finish with high quality paint can completely transform a piece.
A more involved finish but completely do-able for the avid decorative painter. This was hand painted in Vintro Ermine with texture then darkened with Vintro Dark wax, a wash of metallic silver was then applied, then warmed up again with a layer of Vintro Dark wax then a layer of Vintro champagne metallic wash which was created with Vintro Silver with a drop of metallic gold. Finally Vintro Metallic Gold mixed in with Vintro Clear wax was brushed over the top to create a beautiful shimmer and luster on the overall finish. The layers of metallics provides a sophisticated finish with an overall Champagne gold hue. The handle has replaced with a TR gold ring round pull. The internals have been contrasted and hand painted in Candy Floss and clear wax.
