Commissioned Coffee Table
A beautiful coffee table for our client who we have worked with in the past, when she asked us to create a perfect coffee table for her home, the first thing we took into account was the space it was going into and it's surrounding environment, the only brief was that it needed to be light to help brighten and lighten up the space. With soft pale grey couches around the coffee table, a pewter sideboard in the neighbouring dining area and a white kitchen all sitting on an manufactured wood style floor and all within line of site. We decided to pulled all these elements onto the coffee table for our client; pulling one of the darker wooden tones from the floors onto the base of the coffee table, by using Fresco with dark and victorian black wax, the surface which was originally a black metal was hand painted with subtle texture in Tower Bridge with a colour wash of Cloudburst, and then Crystal, all sealed with a matt lacquer, ready for use. The decorative metal banding and studs were also all finished in Vintro Metallic Silver mixed with Midnight creating a beautiful Pewter metallic finish. The end result, a beautiful bespoke coffee table, pulling different elements from the open plan space, and quite simply and beautifully revived with purpose for our clients space...
