Commissioned Dining Setting
As part of an interior project, we have sourced this new solid oak table for our client, the perfect shape and dimensions for the new dining but the wrong colour and finish. With manufactured oak floors, the table was going to blend too much into the floors. An open plan space with the kitchen visible nearby with, whites, charcoal, and gun metal grey panels we needed a concept that worked in with all these elements. The dining area was also a space with little natural light. These were all considerations when we came up with a dining concept for our client
Hand painted in Tower Bridge a lovely pale grey and then detailed with a Champagne Waltz glaze to create a stunning variation and depth in colour. Layering a lovely white over a pale grey and allowing the whites to catch in the oak grain bringing out the natural texture of the wood a beautiful light and bright soft finish to lighten. Using a light colour on a big piece like the dining table is a great way to lighten up the space as light will reflect off the surface and help to brighten up the room. To encourage this we finished with a Vintro Satin Lacquer providing a hardwearing surface as well as a creating a beautiful sheen on the table.
The chairs sourced by TR to work in with the colour way of the kitchen in particular the gun metal grey panels. Beautiful studded linen chairs with dark wooden legs creating a lovely contrast against the white table, the legs will also tone in well with the darker veins in the oak floors.
A complete concept created by the team at TR, creating a bespoke dining table setting, taking all colours and elements from the room adjusting and pulling together a look to perfectly fit in with our clients space.
