Commissioned Rustic Chest of drawers
A beautiful commissioned project for our long time client, who had what she described as a plain piece commissioned to have us revive this piece into a feature piece for the guest bedroom. Our client was after colour and character. A textured and rustic concept was agreed upon to create a character full piece for her room which had accents of blue.
This piece had marks and dings during its lifetime and we have embraced these marking through it's paint finish, choosing to bring them out in the paint finish and detailing, balanced of with metallics. Now a beautiful character piece with layers of Vintro colours with a stunning depth to sit as a full character piece in our clients room. Revived specifically to suit our clients brief, style and interior space.
What we did:
- Hand-painted in Aurora using a Staalmeester2020 synthetic brush
- aged layered and depth created using the following coloured waxes : Morocco, Christabelle, Teal, French Navy, Casper & Dark Wax.
- pulled back with steel wool and wax
- Champagne gold, gold and copper gilded detailing with gilding was from The Artisan Company
