Mirror in Marko Bronze & Milan Moonshadow

A mirror transformation is easy and simple and this example from Artisan At Home NZ shows that whether it's white in Premium Chalk Paint or in a Bronze lustre . An Artisan Paint finish can completely re-interpret and transform the mirror into a look and style that you want. The freedom of colours and artisan paint finishes. This before and after shows the exact same mirror interpreted in two ways and a great way to show that if you move or move your mirror into another room you can always customise it to suit your space.
What was done in order :
- Hand painted in Old Espresso Premium Chalk Paint using a Staalmeester pointed tip brush, and a size 20 in the 2020 series
- Marko Bronze glaze 1 and a half coats (the half coat on selected areas) using a spalter brush
- Milan Moonshadow on dips and around the frame to create a lowlight using a spalter brush
- Forgotten Gold and Bronzanite metallic Glides used to enhance the inner bevel of the mirror.

Table in Bruised Petal Velvet Luxe: Hybrid Chalk Paint

Velvet Luxe is a Hybrid Chalk Paint great for those one colour flat finishes, dries into beautiful velvety matte finish with no lacquer or wax required and it's also suitable for the outdoors. There's a lot going for Velvet Luxe, sometimes all you want is a quick colour change so it's great to be able show this project from The Artisan at Home NZ.
An old solid table for a covered outdoor area, painted in Artisan Bruised Petal Velvet Luxe, two coats using a staalmeester 1 1/2 inch flat brush together with a 3inch flat brush for the table top. A no fuss self levelling paint that dries beautiful flat and matte. Two coats and it was done.
Velvet Luxe still holds all the rich multi-pigmented qualities of Premium Chalk Paints, each crafted colour holds depth and reacts beautifully to light and shadow. Bruised Petal is a beautiful earthy pink and reacts beautifully to lighting and different environments, a beautiful addition to a green outlook, complimenting all the greenery and foliage around. Note: Velvet Luxe is designed to be used on Outdoor Furniture, wood or metal that is made or treated for the outdoors. Painting indoor furniture in Velvet Luxe will not make it "outdoor proof" This table was originally an old indoor dining table now painted in Velvet Luxe for a fully covered outdoor deck area which gets very little weather, because the wood is not treated for the outdoors, there is a risk of the wood warping and distorting over time if the weather gets to it. Please bear this in mind if you are painting indoor furniture to sit outdoors.

Textured Rustic and aged Sideboard

Rustic finishes are ideal for those older pieces that have marks and dings, it allows you to work with those imperfections; or for those who are looking to add some rustic character into a space, a finish like this can even be done on pieces like veneers or even modern pieces to create a rustic element and character for the home.
A Sideboard that was once painted in blue with a waxed finish, now redone for a completely new look as part of Artisan At Home, showing the freedom and ability to paint straight over and give it a completely different look. Using metallic glazes to age and detail creates a lustre that is ever changing and adjusting to light bringing the piece to life.
A super rustic finish works well on stand alone feature pieces, adding depth and interest to an interior space allowing you to use multiple colours drawing colours from your space to create a cohesive look.
What was done in order :
- Hand painted in Premium Chalk Paints Imperial linen (1 Litre), Dor Greige (sample pot) Stormy Creek (sample pot) All three colours were painted and blended on the piece as a first coat, strategically placing Stormy creek in areas where we wanted a lowlight or darker detail, then a half coat of touching up here and there using the three different colours to balance out the colours and gain full coverage. All painted with a pure bristle brush, loading paint generously with selected stippling and brushing in all directions to create brush strokes and texture
Once dry, Adrianna Premium Chalk Paint was watered down and placed in areas then ragged, as well as Firefly in selected areas only
- Marko Bronze brushed on with Spalter brush; used to age and knit the colours together, working in small sections once the glaze was touch dry, fine steel wool was used to distress and remove some of the bronze glaze in areas, creating a varied matt and gloss sheen level across the entire piece allowing bronze glaze to sit on the surface in some areas and just between the brushstrokes in others .
Milan Moonshadow used as a lowlight over the bronze glaze just in selected areas around the edges, corbels, around the bevels and areas where we wanted to age further,
- Forgotten Gold metallic glide used to detail edges and handles.

Rustic Metallic finish done over glass doors

We love showcasing what most people think is impossible like painting over glass doors and turning them into a metallic look. Taking something that was dated and making them unrecognisable. When we started the Artisan Company Journey we wanted to innovate products and come up with a system that made creating any finish possible. With no preparation and painting straight over the glass doors with no sanding or priming, it means you can head straight into the fun and being creative and a finish like this which would once take weeks to achieve is made simple with Artisan Paints and Products and can be done in a day.
What we did:
Painted over the glass doors first with Premium Chalk Paint in Carbon Black (no sanding no priming) creating texture with our series 2020 brush. A staalmeester brush is important when painting glass as the Soft Bristles will work in you favour.
Once dry, The following metallic glazes were placed sporadically to detail and create an aged Metallic effect on the door. Layering them over each other here and there :
- Marko Bronze
- Tyler Gold
-Jayda Rose
-Milan Moonshadow
Once the glazes were applied we pulled the whole look together and aged it with a strong Carbon Black coloured wax followed by subtle highlights on the edges and high points with Artisan Metallic Glide in forgotten gold. The Glazes when layered in this way creates an extremely strong and durable surface suitable for doors
Although this finish was completed on doors it can be done on pretty much any surface whether it be the front of drawers for an industrial dresser, a vase, chair... the system allows you to create a stunning rustic Artisan Metallic Finish on pretty much any surface you choose!

Commissioned Bedsides in Obsidian Blue with Carbon Black

A beautiful showcase of how a decorative paint finish in Artisan paints & products can provide a complete update and new interpretation of a piece of furniture, taking a bedside table with a simple design and transforming it into a bespoke feature piece.
Fully functional bedside tables with runners on the drawers and the right sizing for the bedroom, the only thing with these bedsides was that they no longer worked with newly re-decorated room. Our client wanted us to revive these bedsides to fit in with the new look and style of the room and in particular connect it with the bespoke hand painted feature piece she purchased from us that was sitting on the opposite side of where these bedsides would be. So we came up with a concept to suit the look and style of the room she was looking to achieve creating a balance of classic contemporary whilst creating a piece that would work in cohesively with the set of drawers.
Using Obsidian Blue and deepening this further with Carbon Black creates a richness mood and luxurious look and feel to it especially when contrasted with Artisan Metallic gold on the handles. We replaced and refitted the handle, choosing a design that drawers the eye to it , a ornate traditional design giving a little nod to the piece sitting across from it. A beautiful balance of classic contemporary, without being "matchy" allowing them to sit strongly on their own to frame the bed as well as working in cohesively with the existing piece in the room.
What we did:
Hand painted In Obsidian Blue
Lightly sanded surface with 240 grit for minimal texture
Waxed in Carbon Black wax
Edges gilding in Artisan Gold
Handles refitted and replaced. The handles have been painted in Carbon Black Chalk Paint followed by Artisan Classic Gold Creme

Commissioned Oak Cabinet in Wild Tusk and Royal Navy

A beautiful project of a sentimental Oak Cabinet passed on to our client from her grandmother, hand painted in a soft and subtlety aged white, contrasted with dark blue interiors and detailed in gold. Our client wanted to be able to use this piece proudly in her interior space through a bespoke hand painted finish. We have pulled from our clients Artwork and used a dark blue on the internals allowing us to break up the piece visually and have this feature piece tie in beautifully with the Artwork that sits nearby. Sentimental pieces are great pieces to revive and rejuvenate allowing you an opportunity to re-design the piece to suit your interior space.
What we did:
Hand painted in our Wild Tusk Premium Chalk Paint with subtle texture
Detailed in Beluga wax with a hint of Potter's clay wax in selected areas
The handles have been painted in The Artisan Company's Carbon Black Premium Chalk Paint, then detailed in gold gilding wax
The internals have been contrasted in Royal Navy with clear wax

Bold, beautiful and rustic with Artisan Country Mustard. A sideboard revival re-created as a feature piece with rustic charm, colour and age is the feature in upstairs living at Artisan At Home. Vintage wine tables in Potters Clay & Moa

Vintage wine tables are often highly varnished, and considered dark and dated. They often come with beautiful delicate curves, detailing and shape. We love painting and stacking them together in either a set of 2 or 3 for our clients, they make lovely candidates for an Artisan Paint finish and today we have chosen to showcase this project using soft earthy Artisan neutrals. Two neutrals that tone in beautifully together creating a set of bespoke side tables for an interior space that sits elegantly with soft age and character and works as both decor and furniture.

Small hall table in Artisan Gretel's Forest

When it comes to dark greens Gretel's Forest is one of our favs, a beautiful dark green that can be easily manipulated to suit. Deepen and Richen this gorgeous green with darker artisan waxes as shown here, it also lightens beautifully with lighter coloured artisan waxes too. The colour is also beautiful as it if using our Velvet Luxe hybrid chalk paint which requires no waxing or lacquering.
A lovely transformation of Gretel's Forest, using darker Artisan waxes, deepening, richening and neutralising the green. Paired with gold for a touch of luxe making this a small but gorgeous feature hallway table in Artisan Paints & Products
What we did:
Hand painted with subtle texture in Gretel's Forest including the hardware
Lightly brushed Artisan Classic gold on bevels and hardware, then distressed with steel wool
Sealed and Deepened with Artisan Carbon black wax, followed by dark wax in a selected areas
Pulled back and removed darker waxes in areas by applying Artisan Clear Wax over the top and wiping back with lint free rag allowing the darker coloured waxes to build up and gather around the corners and edges and also allow more of the Gretels Forest colour to come through

A full creative hand painted finish in a textured rustic style, incorporating blues and greens. A finish like this works well as a soulful character feature piece in an interior space allowing you to pull upon the colours through the surrounding decor. Originally an old wooden piece with plenty of history, naturally weathered with old with marks dings & cracks allowing us to work in with these imperfections through a rustic decorative paint finish enhancing and making them work in with end look. The techniques and products shown in this clip is also suitable for outdoors as our Premium lacquers are outdoor grade. A sophisticated and visually complex finish created simply by using Artisan Paints & Products all low in VOC with little to no odour.
A video showing a quick summer Holiday project of a decorative paint finish of a wall that was previously painted in general house paint. Captured through a mobile phone of 1 hand painting and 1 hand recording, a raw impromptu footage giving you an insight of how to create this Artisan Variegated Wall finish.
A finish like this is completely bespoke and requires little to no Preparation as it uses our Premium Chalk Paint as a base. We've broken the steps down for you, simply just follow the steps, recipe/ process & you will get there... your version of a bespoke Artisan Variegated wall.
TIPS:
We chose to use an old (lint free) sheet, as from experience we find it's easier to control the effects, as it's absorbent, ensure you wrinkle it up in your hand before stamping on the wall.
Don't get caught up in detailing one area too much, keep standing back to look at your wall as whole, you can keep working at it until you are happy with the end result. Remember you are looking at a bare wall and that it will soften and settle when you place furniture back against it or when you dress it with art work, mirrors etc
Get the paint on first and ensure full coverage followed by the gloss lacquer, don't overthink too much when doing these two steps. Where you want to slow down and the take your time is the last step when you place your lacquered mixture on for detailing.
Note to self: The art of this finish is to be brave and free, and painting like a 4 year old brushing in all directions and letting loose and enjoying the process :-)
With the varied sheen in the finish, the wall will reflect and bounce light therefore will adjust and react to lighting
What we did:
Hand painted with texture in Ocean Trench Chalk Paint using a 2 inch flat brush (3 or 4 inch if your wall is bigger) On a wall of this size we used 1x 1litre chalk paint approx 250ml gloss lacquer and 250ml Matt Lacquer a couple of tablespoons of Carbon Black Chalk Paint
Gloss lacquer with your Staalmeester brush loading and making sure to spread it out thinly applying in a similar cross hatch style as the painting method to ensure you get into all the texture
Mix your lacquer solution with Matte Lacquer & Carbon Black, brush on and rag and stamp off with your old lint free sheet

Beachy and Luxurious hand painted half round table

Hand painted for a coastal style home, this is a beautiful rustic character finish with texture utilising blues with hues of greens... painted straight over a previously painted and waxed piece creating a new look for a new year, showing that character and a decorative finish like this can really pop against a contemporary white backdrop. Pulled back & distressed with both steel wool & 240 grit sand paper to allow subtle hints of rubbed sage to come through

Handpainted French bedsides in Metallics

A beautiful commissioned project for our client and a lovely re-interpretation of a pair of french bedsides. Creating feature pieces for a bedroom with a stunning custom duvet with champagne gold embroidery woven all over, the head board in an earthy gold fabric with a silvery lustre. We created a pair of hand painted bedsides with subtle texture to not lose the character in these pieces layered with our liquid lustre and then followed by our Finely Gold glaze. Providing a lovely silvery undertone on a champagne gold finish. These bedsides play beautifully with the light and although completed in metallics hold plenty of character through the subtle texture, aged detailing and metallic distressing

Hand painted Rustic Chair in Berry Nude

A beautiful rustic character finish with texture, plenty of age and character. A creative project we completed today on a rainy day unleashing a little creativity in our studio. We love using old chairs as a paint project to either brighten up the corner of room or to add character. Great for using as a pot plant holder or as decor, it also makes a great bathroom piece to hold rolled up towels and soaps. A great showcase of how to create a character finish on an old plain wooden chair with straight lines, utilising all the marks and dings it's had over the years and enhancing all the imperfections and adding more texture in a rustic character finish.

Dark Wax
Coloured waxes in areas with Firefly, Agave, Purple sash, Crushed Lavender and Forget Me Not
Dry brushed in areas in Liberty, Forget Me Not, & Purple Sash, then knocked down with dark wax in these areas
Pulled back & distressed with both steel wool & 240 grit sand paper
A more involved finish but each step is beautiful, whether you stop at Berry Nude with dark wax or want to add more colours to it, whatever your imagining, its possible and our tip for a finish like this is use colours and draw inspiration from the colours around in your interior space.

Dry and Wet colour smudge in Royal Navy, Firefly, in areas allowing colours to merge
Dark waxed again in areas, rubbing firmly over colour smudges to wax distress
Followed by Indie Gold Metallic Concentrate just in areas, distressed and sanded as soon as touch dry. Followed by a a light sand on surface areas to highlight rustic texture, expose Alexis, create various depth with 180 grit sand paper.

Commissioned Wine cabinet

A stunning transformation and re-interpretation of this wine cabinet as a commission project for our client, working with our client who wanted the piece in gold, we worked on a concept to make it a visual feature.
The wine rack left in original wood and with detailed gold ends sitting stunningly against our Carbon Black in Velvet Luxe, a great decorative paint for internals not requiring any waxing or lacquering, just two coats for the smooth flat velvety finish.
A great before and after and a real showcase of how paint finishes can completely re-interpret a piece to suit the design of your interior space.

A beautiful before and after of this commissioned sideboard for our client who was after a luxe statement piece in black and gold. Using texture & age to create a feature character piece we used Potters clay as a base which was inspired by our clients dining room chairs that sat near by that had this neutral tone in the textile.
A great showcase of how you can transform a piece with straight lines, using texture and rustic character to create a visual feature piece . The handles have all been changed finishing off the look and this piece now has a presence and story to tell in place as a bespoke feature piece
What we did:
Hand Painted in The Artisan Potters Clay Premium Chalk Paint using a Pure Bristle Brush and size 12 pointed tip brushing in all directions
Watered down Carbon Black by 15% to apply a thin veil of Carbon Black Premium Chalk Paint over Potters Clay.
Sanded Carbon Black in areas to bring out Potters Clay , and the texture and brush work created.
Clear wax, dark and carbon black waxed in areas
Metallic gold gilding on detailing and bevels.

Commissioned Sideboard in a Victorian Black Lustre with Gold

A stunning commissioned project for a good client of ours where we had completed a hall table for the end of a hallway previously in Victorian black and gold. This recently completed piece will be sitting at the front entrance in the same line of sight as our other piece. We wanted to create a feature piece that was sophisticated, both classic and contemporary using the black and gold theme that our client requested but with a twist to separate this piece as a stunning feature for the front entrance.
An involved finished in Victorian Black created with a stunning understated lustre through the body of the victorian black paint finish which reflects, shimmers and responds beautifully to lighting. The edges framed in The Artisan Company gold gilding wax which buffs up beautifully to a leaf-like finish with the handles given the same gold treatment to tie in as well as highlighting all edges with a fine pinstripe gold. The legs have all been detailed with every bevel and dip shadowed with a subtle metallic fade up and down the legs overall a luxurious statement piece that is bold, rich and will work beautifully in our clients classic contemporary interior space. Tying in together with our previous piece that sits in the same line of sight working to complement each other.
What we did:
-Hand painted in a base coat of Victorian Black with subtle texture using a series 2020 size 20, pointed tip size 12, angled brush ( see video guides)
-Then a mix of Vintro gold metallic in with a pre-mixed Victorian black wax, this was then brushed and feathered over the Victorian Black ( see video guides Pt 2 )
-Deepened with Victorian Black Wax
-Shaded and shadowed with Victorian Black Wax
- Detailed in The Artisan Company gold gilding and buffed to leaf like finish
- Steel wooled to distress the gold gilding wax

Commissioned Oak Tea Trolley and side table in aged Metallics

Two odd pieces with a hand painted finishes to bring them together as a set for a formal study.
The old oak tea trolley and the scalloped side table were both sentimental pieces gifted to our long time client as a remembrance of friendship and we wanted to work with them given the story behind this and our relationship with our client to turn them into bespoke feature pieces that could sit proudly in our clients space. A concept was discussed and after understanding the space they were going into and the colours and finishes that were in this room. We decided on an aged metallic finish. Redefining the old oak tea trolley, working with it's imperfections, history and age we completed a subtle textured finish then finished with metallics and aged and detailed with waxes.
The paint finish was applied all over from the frame, table top to the old rubber wheels. The results have us all inspired to reach out for that old oak tea trolley and odd vintage side table for our own homes to add this aged metallic finish that has beautiful balance of classic, luxe, with a touch of industrial to it.
What we did:
-Hand painted in a base coat of Victorian Black with subtle texture using a series 2020 size 18 brush ( see video guides)
-Then a mix of Vintro Silver and Metallic gold together in our Mix it Storage tin to create a champagne gold metallic paint using a series 2020 size 18 brush to learn how to mix watch this video guide

Commissioned French Style Piece for Vanity

A lovely project on a piece from The Artisan Collection revived to work as a vanity in a bathroom renovation.
Working with the clients Interior Designer on the concept for this gorgeous pink Vanity to create a perfect piece and finish for the room. Inspired by round pink tiles being used in the room from Artedomus we have mixed Vintro Madame De Pompadour and Deep Saffron to create a custom pink, hand painted with subtle texture. The carved detailing has been enhanced with metallic gold, then aged with a custom mixed wax of dark and clear, then layered again with a wax mixed with the custom pink mix. Further detailed and aged around the bevels and carved detailing with Vintro cloudburst wax, creating a beautiful depth with the pink as well as holding a soft delicate age to the age.

Marie is a piece from the Artisan Collection, made of solid wood mahogany, beautifully caved with a unique design created by artisans from start to finish.
Hand painted in the TR Studio as the final TR Gallery piece for 2018, we were inspired by the festive spirit of the holiday season and wanted to create something with age, beautifully bespoke and magical. Inspired by the beauty of aged musical jewellery boxes of yesteryear came the idea for Marie our little chest.
Hand painted in Wild Heather with texture then aged and layered with Vintro dark along with coloured waxes of: Madam De pompadour, Wild Heather, French Navy then finished with a metallic band and detailing of Vintro Gold mixed with Vintro Silver. This is Marie, a purple and gold chest with stunning layers and depth that plays with the natural light beautifully, softly aged with stunning detailing from all angles. Elegant and a sure feature piece for any room she goes into. Hand painted in the TR Studio in a rich deep blue using Vintro French Navy, deepened with a coloured wax of Nightfall and a touch of a custom mixed coloured wax of Royal Purple + Victorian Black on selected areas for a stunning hue. All the edges and bevels have all been finely detailed by hand with gold along with the hardware and hinges. A real show stopper piece, great as a contrast against light crisp walls or add an another layer of luxury by placing against dark sumptuous walls. Emilia is a piece new from The Artisan Collection made of solid Mahogany with three drawers revived in the studio inspired by the elegance and chicness of "Metropolitan Style" interiors she has been revived with a "chic - luxe" take. A beautiful solid piece, with a bespoke TR revival that would be an elegant addition to any space beautifully understated, ideal as a small side table in the living area or as a little feature piece with a print at the end of a hallway or landing area or as a single bedside table.
What we did:
Hand painted in Vintro Victorian black, with clear wax around the frame with the drawers completed in Victorian Black with a custom mixed wax of clear and dark to add a slight warmth on the finish. The bevels finished in Vintro Metallic Silver mixed with Midnight to create a pewter metallic which was also used for detailing around the bottom of the legs. Handles changed with TR Black crystal knobs for that touch of luxe..

Rosette: Large solid Mahogany display cabinet

Rosette is a new piece from The Artisan Collection, beautifully hand crafted out of solid wood mahogany and finished in the TR Studio. A stunning bespoke feature piece crafted by Artisan from start to finish.
She has been beautifully hand painted and detailed with Vintro Chalk Paint & coloured waxes along with silver metallic detailing. There is an incredible depth in her finish playing with the light and allowing her tone in easily with her surrounding drawing from the layers of colours incorporated in her finish. Her internals darkened with the luxurious vintro nightfall allowing any decor placed on the shelves to stand out and visually "float" whilst creating a beautiful dark reflection on the glass fronts. When we came up with the concept for this piece, we wanted remove the "formalness" of the piece and and provide a more relaxed approach using a complex "character -full" finish, where every bevel angle and edge has been detailed by hand and artistically by eye we also wanted to add a luxurious and glamorous touch to her finish. We imagined Rosette as a feature piece in a coastal style home but can also visualise her in a bungalow, villa or as a feature piece in a contemporary style home. Rosette is a piece that has the ability to elevate the look and style of the room she goes into and is a signature TR piece that you won't find anywhere other than of course the TR gallery.
What we did with this project:
The internals have been completed in Vintro No Seal Chalk Paint in Nightfall, for a flat smooth matt velvety finish with the little drawers in Vintro Metallic Silver
The externals have been hand painted in Chiswick House Chalk Paint, then detailed with Vintro coloured waxes (in order) Victorian Black, Harewood with cloudburst in selected areas. The bevels and handles all carefully painted in refinished in Vintro Metallic Silver.

Stephanie: Oversized carved set of drawers

Stephanie is a new piece from The Artisan Collection with fine beaded detailing around all the drawer faces and pillars including flowing corbels at the top. Perfect balance in scale, design and delicate detailing on a large solid piece. A beautiful feature and a great piece to draw colours and inspiration from for a bedroom setting.
Hand painted in the TR Studio in Harewood and in order to create texture we used the paint undiluted along with Vintro's round synthetic brush. Aged with a layer of Vintro Dark Wax, then softened again with a layer of Vintro Harewood wax. Vintro Chiswick House Wax was used in selected areas around bevels and details to accentuate the carved detailing. There is a beautiful soft age to the body of the piece, with beautiful depth to the finish. The beaded detailing on the drawers and edges of the piece have been further accentuated using a mix of Vintro Silver Metallics with a drop of Vintro Gold to create subtle hints of a champagne gold. Stephanie is a grand oversized piece with presence and will inject character, style and set the tone for any bedroom. A bespoke feature piece you will only find at Taylored Revival all created with Vintro Luxury Paints.

Revived in TR with in beautiful warm french style look using warm & earthy Vintro neutrals, she is now an elegant piece of furniture full of character and depth. What we did:
Hand painted in Vintro Pebble Chalk Paint, beautifully layered in Vintro coloured waxes (in order) dark wax, Crystal, Stonebreaker coloured waxes then pulled back with steel wool. Creating a beautiful colourway and depth in the final finish with the final details enhanced with metallic gold gilding wax.

Tiffany : Edwardian style table in Soft aged Vintro Pink

Tiffany is a beautiful edwardian style table imported over from the UK from the TR Antique Collection a beautiful bespoke table with history, imperfectly perfect with stunning craftsmanship. Revived into a rustic and elegant table full of character.
What we did:
Hand painted in Vintro Albert Bridge mixed with Stonebreaker then detailed with dark wax, pulled back with steel wool, then detailed with Candyfloss & Duck Egg Blue coloured waxes. A Vintro Metallic gold lustre has been applied (gold metallic paint mixed with clear wax) The edges and detailing enhanced further with french gold gilding wax.
Overall a lovely aged, sophisticated soft dusky pink finish, beautifully aged into a character piece. She has travelled all the way from the UK for a revival and is now available as a one off bespoke piece from the TR Gallery

Chelsea is a new solid Mahogany set of drawers from the Artisan Collection, designed with clean lines and bevelling with turned legs.
Beautifully revived and hand painted in the TR Studio in Vintro Dove and detailed with Vintro Tower Bridge coloured wax. The finish has beautiful subtle texture with a the two greys merged and mixed together creating interest and depth in the finish . The bevels have been finished in a beautiful silver metallic with a subtle pink hue to it. The surface has also been finished in a beautiful satin lacquer, providing a hardy surface as well as a beautiful slight sheen to it. Chelsea is understated elegant and a chic piece of furniture, a bespoke piece you won't find anywhere other than at Taylored Revival

Eva: Bespoke hand painted mid century modern table with decorative top

Eva is an artful piece created in the TR Studio, a bespoke hand painted and revived piece you will only find in the TR gallery. A midcentury modern piece given a beautiful revival with an "artful luxe" feel. A one of a kind piece of an artful side table with designer appeal now available for purchase in the TR Gallery. Eva is a stunning piece that will sit beautifully between two chairs, up against a wall on her own with decor or as side table up against a sofa. However you choose to place her she is a piece full of character, intrigue and elegance with a modern edgy touch. With her dark rich frame contrasting against her stunning table top she is a striking piece, the gloss finish brings out the different shades in her and turns the table top into a bit of Chameleon bringing out different shades and metallics depending on how the light is hitting it and which angle you are viewing her from, making her a real feature piece that will tone in with her surroundings.
What we did:
The surface has been lightly painted with Chalk Paint with Fine Stone (available from TR) applied with a spatula areas have been pressed to vary to texture.
Hand painted in French Navy over the Fine Stone
Lightly dry brushed with different shades of Vintro metallics: rose gold, gold, gold mixed with midnight, rose gold mixed with gold, gold mixed with silver.
We then applied a colour wash by diluting Christabelle Chalk Paint with water brushing over in areas and ragging.
Metallics were then dry brushed again in areas
The entire top given 2 coats of gloss lacquer
edges in french gold gilding wax
The beautiful rich matt velvety smooth legs and frame have been hand painted in Vintro No Seal Chalk Paint providing a stunning richness and depth to the finish.

Greta is a new mirror beautifully crafted from The Artisan Collection. Made of Solid Wood Mahogany. Revived in the TR Studio in Victorian Black Chalk Paint and finished with clear wax creating a chic, elegant and understate finish making her suitable for both a classic and contemporary home. Jesse: Coast white rectangular side table

Jesse is a revived side table, white but with depth and interest. She is in a beautiful soft white with subtle texture and age. Simple and understated small in stature making her a versatile piece, place under low window sill with decor to dress the area or as a side table between two chairs or arm chair. Use her as a bathroom piece or as a small coffee table in an apartment. This is a previous piece that has been used in our workshops now with a complete revival ready to go home and this has been reflected in the price.
What we did :
Hand painted in Nymph Vintro Chalk Paint, depth and age created using a Dove coloured wax adding a beautiful soft grey to the whole finish. The key here is that we steel wooled the entire piece after the coloured wax to bring make Nymph the predominant colour and have the dove just sitting in between the brushstrokes and in areas that we wanted it to accent the shape of the piece. A finish like this is easy and quick to achieve and is often demonstrated in the TR Gallery on a daily basis.
