Working with Botanical Retreat Wallpaper as a first timer
Wallpapering can often feel like a daunting task—too much effort and complexity, landing it firmly in the "too hard" basket. At least, that’s how we felt before starting this collaboration with Maggie Lam on the Botanical Retreat wallpaper.
But what if wallpapering could be simple? Imagine if the paper were tear-resistant, so you could handle it without worrying about rips. No more mixing, spraying, or brushing glue evenly. What if it was self-adhesive, making it as easy as peel and stick? No wrinkles, no scrunching—easier than covering a school book with contact paper (yes, mums, we know you understand). And what if someone who's never wallpapered before could do it on their first try?
We wanted all of these "what if's" to come true with this project—and that's exactly what we’ve achieved with Botanical Retreat. Check out this video featuring Dorophya, who had never wallpapered before, taking on the challenge for the very first time! This was our test to see if a first-timer could successfully use the Botanical Retreat wallpaper. Watch as she effortlessly wallpapers cabinet doors, showing just how simple it is to "peel and stick" and proving that wallpapering doesn’t have to be difficult, shattering the myth that wallpapering is hard. Here in this video she talks you through her experience...
